Through this Old Testament website, I am your mentor to the Old Testament. The site is designed to help adult and young adult Christians gain a greater appreciation for, and a more complete understanding of, the Old Testament and its marvelous messages. 

  

  

  

Many people today give the Old Testament short shrift because they think its message is out of date and irrelevant for our times. Yet they do this to their own detriment. Think about the fact that this marvelous book of ancient scripture has probably had a greater influence on modern Judeo-Christian literature and society than any other book. In fact, much of our literature cannot be completely understood without an understanding of the Bible.

We, as Christians, need to know and understand the Old Testament's marvelous messages for our time. We need to know about the Old Testament peoples and of their prophets, priests, and kings. Though they lived in a much different age and time, our lives are, in many respects, a reflection of their lives and their messages affect us all.

The Abrahamic Covenant

 
Genesis 12:2-3

The Old Testament gives the account of that great nation, Israel---the nation that God promised to his faithful servant Abraham.
